Three photos as seen below were published side by side in the Weekly Courier in November 1917. The first two are said to be the recently deceased George Best, and the third is of Charles Best.
The caption you see below each photo is exactly as what was published in the Weekly Courier.
I am assuming the first two is of the same person, one of which was taken when George Best was younger. One of the captions says he was born in England.
I have searched through various websites and noted the first photo is widely circulated and said to have been George Best who died in 1887.
Could a mistake have been made or is there another George Best?
Below is an obituary for George Best published in the North Western Advocate and the Emu Bay Times on 6 August 1917.

The late Mr George Best, a well known and esteemed North Western resident
The late Mr Charles Best, arrived in Tasmania 1830, died at Quamby aged 77 years
