You are cordially invited by the Burnie Branch, Tasmanian Family History Society to their last official function of the year, on Saturday, 25 November 2017, at the Branch Library, 58 Bass Highway, Cooee, opposite Gowans Toyota.
Come and learn about one of the pre-eminent Australian family history websites, then join with us in launching a book written by a well known local researcher and author Betty Jones.
First at 10:30 am, we will hear John Graham give a presentation on the Ryerson Index. He is the CEO of the non-profit organisation, which manages the website.
Then at 11:40 am, following John's presentation the branch will conduct a launch and signing by the author of the new Society book: School Days, School Days ... land of youth and dream.
A collection of articles written by Betty Jones, which have appeared in Tasmanian Ancestry over the last eleven years, plus additional information and photographs of people and schools mentioned in its 200 pages.
Books will be available for purchase, $25 for Society members, $30 for others. The author will be there to sign your book.
At the conclusion of the presentations you are invited to stay for a luncheon. To help with catering, an RSVP by 22 November 2017 would be appreciated by phone 6435 4103 or mobile 0427 354 103 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
